Negative side to living in Mexico?

A friend of mine who lives in Morelia just sent this to me, - she says that about half of it is accurate - just wanted to get some feedback as I'm considering moving:

We are currently living in Manzanillo Mexico for about that much. Maybe a little less actually now that the peso is dropping. Manzanillo is by no means the cheapest place to live in Mexico but it is on the beach, not very touristy, and it is quite nice! Manzanillo ...

We are currently living in Manzanillo Mexico for about that much. Maybe a little less actually now that the peso is dropping. Manzanillo is by no means the cheapest place to live in Mexico but it is on the beach, not very touristy, and it is quite nice!

$1100 per month is more enough to living in small town or city in Mexico. Living standard in Mexico is simple as well as fast too. But that is depends upon of us how to live and facilities to be used..
